Washington Exec/Stafford Rgnl is in Stafford, Virginia. The field elevation is 219.1 ft MSL. It has one runway, 15/33, which is 6,000 ft long. There is no control tower. Pattern altitude is not published, so light piston pilots should plan on the standard 1,000 ft AGL unless the current FAA Chart Supplement says otherwise.
Runway 33 has the ILS. The airport also has medium intensity approach lighting with runway alignment indicator lights on 33, REIL on 15, PAPI on both ends and high intensity runway lights on both runway ends. Stafford Regional Airport is the on-field FBO. It carries 100LL, Jet A and Jet A Prist. Government contract fuel is available. 100LL is available until 1800. After hours fuel requires 12 hours notice by phone.
This is a busy area near Quantico. Noise abatement is in effect 24 hours. VFR departures on runway 33 should fly runway heading until the baseball fields about 1 NM away. Then turn left. Deer and flocks of birds are reported on and near the airport, so keep the scan active on taxi and final. The airport is unattended on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's days. Use the current FAA Chart Supplement and the airport operator for any updates before you go.
