Battle Creek Exec at Kellogg Field is in Battle Creek, Michigan. The field elevation is 951.6 ft MSL. KBTL has three asphalt runways. The longest is 05L/23R at 10,004 ft. The airport is towered from 0700 to 2300. One ILS is published for runway 23R.
Pattern altitude is not published. Use 1,000 ft AGL for light piston operations unless the current Chart Supplement says otherwise. Deer and large birds are reported on and near the airport. That makes the runway environment worth a close scan on taxi, takeoff and final. Voluntary noise abatement procedures are in effect. Check the current Fly Quiet guidance before arrival if you need local departure routing. Field condition is maintained on weekdays from 0700 to 1530. It is not maintained outside those hours.
Duncan Aviation is on the field. Centennial Aircraft Services | WACO Aircraft is also on the field. Both carry 100LL, Jet A and Jet A Prist. If you need customs, call 269-965-3349 for 24-hour prior notice. When the tower is closed, contact Great Lakes Approach for clearance delivery. Runway 05R uses right traffic when the tower is closed. Runway 23R also uses right traffic when the tower is closed. Expect a busy training environment within 25 NM of the airport.
